You could also choose a LED Basketball Rim (this one changes colors!)  Dirty Dunk Laundry Hamper– We got this for my son (and I’ll admit kind of for me!) for his birthday and he has loved it! It has helped immensely with my son putting his dirty clothes INTO the hamper. All of my kids like to try and make a basket so this hamper would be a great gift for lots of different ages and kids!

Why is this directed at teenage boys? I’m a little surprised actually that this isn’t geared at girls as well! That’s very gender prejudiced.

Hi Susan, The main reason this is directed at boys is because of Search Engine Optimization. In order for people to find the things I post, I have to specifically gear the posts to contain certain keywords or phrases. More people are searching for basketball gifts for teen boys than teen girls so to get people to my site I need to make two separate posts. Also, a lot of the gift guides I do are specific to things I have knowledge of. I have a teen boy basketball player and a teen girl who loves making movies. So my posts reflect my knowledge in those two areas. You are correct that many of these products for basketball could be used by both boys and girls. I do actually have plans to write a post specific to girls basketball, but as a mom with young kids there aren't enough hours in the day to get all the things done that I need to for this blog. I'm working on it though! :) Thanks for stopping by.

My cousin's birthday is coming and all I know is that he loves basketball. I like how you said that a basketball bag would be the perfect way for a kid to transport a ball without the bulk of a whole bag. It would be also nice to find a nice basketball so that he could collect it.
