My goal with this website is to help inspire you to think of amazing gifts. Often people have a good idea for a gift. But who wants good when you can have GREAT? Let’s start with an idea for kids.
A CD player. In this day and age of MP3 players and phones, this might seem like a strange choice. But kids (especially the 12 and under set!) actually really enjoy having access to their own music player in their room. Think dance parties and music while you are cleaning up or just hanging out with friends. So much fun, right?! Let’s add some options to personalize and jazz it up a bit.
Option #1: CD Player + Dancing/Music CDs. Kids love to dance and sing, and having access to their VERY OWN music in their VERY OWN bedroom is VERY MUCH fun. The Laurie Berkner band is one of my kids’ favorites, and one of mine too. The music is beautiful, fun to dance to, and fun to sing-a-long with. (Try playing chase to the song, “I’m gonna catch you!” ) Have a tween or teen to buy for? Ask about their favorite artist or band and buy one or two CDs.
Option #2: CD Player + Books on CD. I recently ordered a similar set for my 3 and 5 year-old boys. They absolutely love it! Every night they take turns choosing which CD they will listen to while they go to sleep. Even during the day, I will catch them turning on their “stories.” It is the sweetest thing!
Option #3: CD Player + Lullaby CDs I used to fall asleep at night listening to music and I think it is an amazing way for kids to wind down. Lullabies aren’t just for babies either! Soothing music is good for the soul, and honestly is a treat for my kids. It makes bedtime a little easier for kids and their parents!
Who is this gift good for?
This gift combo is especially great for kids ages 1-12.
How much does it cost?
Each of these combos is around $45. There are cheaper CD player options…I just chose this CD player because it is a little more gender neutral and has great reviews. Here is a less expensive option for a CD player.
Did this spark any gifty ideas for you? Who in your family would love one of these gift combos?
