It’s time for the June edition of $10 at Target!
I went into Target this time with no specific gift idea. This resulted in an entire cart full of stuff (and a looooot of alone time at Target, and perhaps a popcorn and soda. )
I ended up going with a Host/Hostess gift idea. This time of year there are tons of barbecues, swim parties, summer parties etc. I always think it is a nice and thoughtful touch to bring a little something along for the host or hostess.
I remember as a college sophomore going to visit my then-boyfriend (now husband)’s family in California. I was going to be staying at their house and my mom told me I should bring a little something to them for hosting. I was so nervous! I can’t remember what I ended up taking (a candle maybe?) but I think you can’t ever go wrong arriving at someone’s door with a little gift, right?
What’s in this gift
Using my $10 I decided to put together a little re-stocking gift for the party host. It includes:
-A container found in the housewares section. This was on clearance for $2 and could be used by the recipient in many different areas of the home
– A Method Summer Edition Pink Grapefruit scented hand soap
-Spr!tz party plates (big and small) and napkins (It’s like these are made for me…I have a serious exclamation point overuse problem.)
-A container of straws
I always strive to give gifts that are useful and this will help the party hosts be a step ahead for their next gathering.
I also made up a quick gift tag and wrapped it up in some pretty ribbon. You can download the gift tag for free from my Gift Printables Resource Library by signing up below!
What it Costs
So in the midst of all of the shopping, popcorn eating and excessive exclamation point-ing…I lost my receipt! This rang up just over $10 (like $10.49 or something?) Sorry I can’t be more specific, but this is definitely a gift you can do for $10.

Tell me what you think…what else would you love to RECEIVE as a party host/hostess?
Happy Gifting!
